Charles H. Galbreath, Jr. has over 10 years of experience serving and leading programs that provide public assistance to children and their parents, and provide specialized assistance to troubled youth and disadvantaged families.

Charles enjoyed a rewarding career with the Missouri Department of Social Services. As an Agency Trainer for the department, Charles traveled statewide providing consultation and coaching, facilitating new strategies, as well as leadership enhancing techniques for the department’s new hires, upper management, supervisors, front line workers, and support staff, via group, and one-on-one training environments. As a premier ambassador for the agency, Charles strengthened employees' commitment to the department's mission, values, and goals.

Charles' commitment to the heartening field of Social Services began, as a Youth Specialist for the Missouri's Division of Youth Services. In this role, Charles provided group-based therapeutic treatment to male juvenile offenders, ages 11-17, struggling with plights such as Substance Abuse, Gang Involvement, Domestic Violence, and Truancy. Charles helped many youth obtain a GED, pursue higher educational, and/or vocational goals, and successfully re-enter their community.

 

In addition to his fulfilling career in Social Services, Charles travels the nation as an Empowerment Speaker and Coach. As a rising star in the new generation of professional speakers, Charles speaks passionately to audiences of all ages about "Empowered Living." Empowered living requires that we develop and incorporate the necessary attitude, strategy, and strength to succeed daily.

Prior to his employment with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Charles worked in the federally-funded Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search programs; designed to assist high school and middle school students from disadvantaged families better understand their educational opportunities and options.

Charles possesses a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, New York, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing/Management from Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee. Charles is a proud native of Fulton, Missouri, and currently resides in Las Vegas Nevada!
