What if I told you that throughout my lifetime, I have met and mingled with countless celebrities, and felt absolutely no spark…..? But----I might be completely star struck if I ever meet a Muppet!
I learned the greatest lesson of my life from the Muppets. I learned that I was special! I believed that I was special and throughout my life my family and friends have supported the notion. What does “special” mean? I have always known special to mean that I possessed a wonderful gift inside of me; a gift that in the right time would greatly impact the world. Special means that I could escape the routine, mundane world as most people know it to be. Special means that I could walk down the street, or walk into a room and people be happy to see me. Special means playing by my own rules and creating my own reality. Hardest thing that I’ve ever done in my life, and that I still continue to do is protect this belief that I am special!
THE BIG REVEAL: Who DO I Think I Am?
In 2002, I went to a live taping of Wheel of Fortune, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. This was such an exciting day for me. My excitement could be felt and heard every time we (the studio audience) had an opportunity to cheer or clap. Pat Sajak came off the stage, and said,“ I have got to come over here and shake the hand of whoever is making all of this noise!” It was me! Little did he know that in that small gesture he confirmed my calling. I was born to be a host! All I’ve ever wanted to do is be a TV Host; a Talk Show Host, a Radio Host, a Game Show, a Shopping Network Host! I am a professional Master of ceremony, and that is all I’ve ever wanted to be. That is the hidden truth!
People tend to think I’m a lot deeper than I really am. I’m not that deep, nor do I want to go deep. Don’t get it twisted….I can go very deep! I have a very strong educated opinion. I tend to be insight and wise. I am articulate, and I have been blessed with opportunities to share and showcase what I know. I think that is what has created the façade that I’m this deep, philosophical person. I’m flattered! I’ll admit I can easily be perceived as brilliant in the boardroom. But, I must say that I am completely bored in the boardroom!
